3D Printing of Scaffolds with Bioinspired Micro-textures

Multi-scale artificial cell culture microenviroment designed with biomimetic 3D micro textures was produced by a novel hybrid 3D printing process.

Tissues are made up of a highly complex 3D arrangement of cells. Conventional 2D cell culture system fails to mimic complex tissues. But well-defined 3D cell culture system would be able to reflect the behavior of tissue in vivo. Construction of 3D cell culture microenvironments by novel AM technologies provides the possibility to closely simulate the natural tissue.
